Lemony Snicket’s The Composer Is Dead

Music by Nathaniel Stookey

Renowned children’s author Lemony Snicket and the critically-acclaimed Phantom Limb Company join forces for this breathtaking theatrical adaptation of The New York Times best-selling picture book The Composer is Dead.  There is a mystery to solve at Symphony Hall, and the suspects are all lurking somewhere onstage! Follow the Inspector as he interrogates each section of the orchestra. Where exactly were the violins on the night in question? Did anyone see the harp? Aren’t the trumpets protesting a bit too boisterously? Every instrument is brought to life in this enchantingly uproarious musical mystery.

ABOUT LEMONY SNICKET
Lemony Snicket has been called a fraud, a spy, a fugitive, a fictional character, a bad influence, a best-selling author, and, on certain especially inauspicious occasions, an inspector. He is the author of the thirteen books in A Series of Unfortunate Events, which have sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in 39 languages. The first three books in the series formed the basis for the 2004 hit film Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, starring Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep. Mr. Snicket’s unique wit and wisdom are collected in the book Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can’t Avoid (HarperCollins), and his mysterious past makes an appearance in Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography (HarperCollins).

Lemony Snicket is represented in all legal, literary, and social matters by Daniel Handler, who leads a relatively uneventful life with his wife and son in San Francisco. Mr. Handler has written three novels for adults, The Basic Eight, Watch Your Mouth, and Adverbs.

Mr. Snicket’s latest work is a picture book with CD of The Composer Is Dead, featuring illustrations by acclaimed artist Carson Ellis. It is available wherever books are sold.
