All You-Can-Eat Meatball Day came just once a year. George had been waiting all month for that day, a day almost bigger than his birthday! On Meatball Day, George helped his friend, Chef Pisghetti, cook some delicious meatballs and serve them to the hungry crowd. But this year, the crowd had vanished! Something was keeping people away... something pretty big. And that something was Phinneas T. Lightspeed and his speedy Meatballs-o-Matic machine. In despair, Chef Pisghetti vows to cook no more. Determined to help his friend, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef's meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome.
With every swing and flip, George takes the audience through a fun-filled adventure, in which he learns more about Rome... and meatballs... and the secret ingredient to cooking! Curious George: The Golden Meatball TYA is a perfect show for your young audience programs!

Wishing Star Productions is a live entertainment company dedicated to bringing beloved stories to life through high-quality theatrical productions for audiences of all ages. Founded in 2013, the company originated the live-action touring production of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a million-dollar production that toured successfully across the country.
Since then, Wishing Star Productions has continued its mission of creating vibrant, imaginative family entertainment through national tours including Grace for President, Giraffes Can't Dance, A Year with Frog and Toad, and most recently Curious George and the Golden Meatball.
Known for its colorful storytelling, elevated production value, and commitment to excellence, the company creates memorable theatrical experiences that inspire wonder, joy, and connection for audiences nationwide. Today, Wishing Star Productions is proudly led by father-daughter team Doug LoPachin and Paydin Layne LoPachin.
Doug LoPachin (President) is a veteran stage actor and producer with decades of experience in live entertainment. He has appeared in more than 40 productions at Casa Mañana in Fort Worth, building a long-standing reputation as a respected performer in the regional theater community.
As a founding force behind Wishing Star Productions alongside Joe Sturgeon and Christopher Deaton, Doug helped bring the first live-action stage adaptation of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to touring audiences nationwide. He also starred in the production as Santa Claus, a role that later led to appearances as Santa Claus at Madison Square Garden. The million-dollar production toured successfully from 2013 through 2017.
Today, Doug serves as co-owner and producer of Wishing Star Productions, creating and touring high-quality family theatrical experiences alongside his daughter, Paydin Layne LoPachin. Most recently, the company produced Curious George and the Golden Meatball, continuing its mission of bringing beloved stories to life for audiences across the country.
Paydin Layne LoPachin (Producer/ Co-Owner) is an actress, producer, and visionary storyteller whose career in entertainment began at just nine years old. Starting in modeling and commercial work, she collaborated with iconic brands including Calvin Klein and Italian Vogue before transitioning into television and film. Her on-screen credits include appearances in beloved series such as The O.C., Heroes, and Cold Case.
Today, Paydin serves as co-owner and producer of Wishing Star Productions, where she helps lead the creation of vibrant, high-quality national touring productions that bring beloved stories to audiences across the country. Known for her creative vision, hands-on leadership, and passion for theatrical excellence, she plays an integral role in shaping every aspect of the company’s productions, from casting and creative development to touring logistics and audience experience.
This season, Paydin takes center stage as Curious George in Curious George and the Golden Meatball. Balancing performance and production, she continues to build a reputation as a dynamic force in family entertainment; blending artistry, entrepreneurship, and heart to create memorable live experiences for audiences of all ages.
