Through the magic of live theater, this interactive experience sparks the imagination, encouraging children to actively engage with the stories through call and response activities, encouraging them to count, identify colors and even participate in simple reading exercises. The gentle pace of the show and the cheerful storytelling create a safe and enjoyable environment, making it an ideal introduction to the wonders of the theatrical arts for little ones. Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, this all-new, innovative stage production presents some of your favorite Eric Carle stories, brought to life in an intimate storytelling setting by world-class puppeteers and 45 handcrafted, magical puppets.

PRODUCER | CREATIVE TEAM

ONATHAN ROCKEFELLER (CREATOR, PRODUCER) Jonathan Rockefeller is a co-founder of Rockefeller Productions, a company that combines film, theatre, animation, puppetry and television. He also devotes time to philanthropic work furthering childhood literacy and appreciation of the arts.

The critically-acclaimed production of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show’ debuted Off-Broadway January 2016 and is currently nominated for both a Drama Desk Award and an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Family Show. The show debuted in Australia to a sell-out season at the Sydney Festival January 2015, and will continue to tour in Australia and New Zealand. 

Prior to his work with Eric Carle, Jonathan co-wrote and produced the puppet-parody 'Thank You for Being a Friend' which has been licensed for further productions worldwide. This year Jonathan was selected as a 'Men of Influence' by Men’s Style Australia for his work in children’s theater and literacy.
